Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) H.R. 218; or 18 USC 926C Annual requirement for Retired and separated law enforcement officers who have license to carry a pistol under HR-218 must renew their license, and are in good standing. This is an In-Person course COURSE LOCATIONS: · National Harbor Location, 6710 Oxon Hill Rd Suite 210, National Harbor, MD 20745 · Maryland Small Arms Range, Inc. 9801 Fallard Court, Upper Marlboro, MD COURSE LENGTH: 4 - 6 Hours; Includes Range IN-CLASS LIMIT: 10 Students STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: · Retired and Separated Law Enforcement Officers · Carrying of concealed firearms by qualified retired law enforcement officers (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of the law of any State or any political subdivision thereof, an individual who is a qualified retired law enforcement officer and who is carrying the identification required by subsection (d) may carry a concealed firearm that has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce, subject to subsection (b) This section shall not be construed to supersede or limit the laws of any State that- (1) permit private persons or entities to prohibit or restrict the possession of concealed firearms on their property; or (2) prohibit or restrict the possession of firearms on any State or local government property, installation, building, base, or park. ON-SITE/COURSE POLICY No Ammunition, nor Firearms, including concealed firearms are allowed on this facility, nor into the classroom, without advance approval -- which is a strict training environment. When permitted to bring firearms to class, Repeating, Do Not Bring Ammunition to class. All students will be required to read and sign a liability waiver prior to the start of class, for security reasons due to handling firearms. No Exceptions! The document will also include a Firearms Safety Briefing and Range Safety Briefing.
